This course is the first in a series of three (3) dealing with the management of absenteeism in group insurance and its financial impacts. The objective of these courses is to educate representatives to have a global vision of group benefits.

In this first part, we have participants look at the taxation of premiums, contamination of group plans and the latest changes to the QHIB (RAMQ). We then discuss the different opportunities made available by the "design" of the current regimes related to the sharing of premiums between employers and their employees.

The course is intended as an introduction to the field of group insurance, discussing the basics of such a regime. It then proposes a different look at two other aspects: the CSST (Part 2 of 3) and the various parties in a group plan (Part 3 of 3).
